My beloved son Darian has lived at Holly since he was 21 – 16 years now. He has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, aspects of autism and while “cognitively impaired” is very much his own person with his likes, dislikes and personality! Words cannot express my gratitude and amazement at the excellent care provided by the Staff, many of whom are “youngsters.” They are all the true heroes of our world.
As a family run home, Holly truly feels like a family.
The work of caring for the brain injured has to be one of the most challenging of human endeavors and necessities. That such a place exists, functioning like a ship sailing to its own rhythm, truly spotlessly “shipshape,” with dignity, love and fun, amidst the complexities and health problems of such a community is nothing short of a miracle.
