My father in law had a severe stroke at age 50 and was unable to live on his own. In the last eleven years, he was in 7 different facilities and miserable. Holly residential was the first place in eleven years that he called home. He participated in activities, something he never did in other facilities. He had behaviors of yelling, swearing and striking out at staff and others, Mary Ellen Riley the owner and an RN was able to address his behaviors with pain control and environmental changes. He stopped yelling, and striking out at others and even made a friend. The staff was always kind, compassionate and understanding, even when he was a pain. They never gave up on him. Holly Residential was the answer to our prayers.
